• CONSTRUCTION/REPAIRS TO LIBRARY SIDEWALKS

As we continue making improvements to the Sandusky Library, our sidewalk repair project will continue August 10th – 16th, weather permitting. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make our sidewalks and driveway safer for everyone.

Please note the following access changes during construction:

Monday–Thursday (August 10–13): Repairs will take place along the main entrance from the parking lot. The entrance will remain open, but pedestrian traffic will be redirected around the work area.

Wednesday–Thursday (August 12–13): The ADA-accessible approach from the parking lot is scheduled for repair. During this time, patrons needing an accessible entrance will be directed to the sloped approach near the book and media drop boxes.

Friday (August 14): The Columbus Avenue entrance will be closed while the trench drain is repaired. Please enter the parking lot via Jackson Street. The drive up book and media drop boxes will be temporarily unavailable until Monday. The book drop inside the Library will remain open and be available when the Library is open.

We know construction can be inconvenient, and we sincerely appreciate your flexibility and support while these improvements are completed. Our goal is to create a safer, more welcoming library for everyone in our community.

If the schedule changes due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we’ll share updates on our website at www.sanduskylib.org and on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sanduskylibrary.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you to the library throughout the project

PAST UPDATES

Beginning today, the Adam’s St Entrance will be CLOSED while crews repair the sidewalks outside of the entrance. Thank you for you patience as we work to make your visit to the Library safer and more pleasant.

Beginning Wednesday, July 15, crews will begin work at the Library along the south side of the building just east of the main entrance past the bike racks.  Parking spaces nearest that area will be blocked off.  Some spaces along the fence may also be affected at times. Over the next few weeks, crews will travel toward Columbus Avenue, then wrap around the building to Adams Street as the project continues. The Library’s main entrance area will be the last section completed. Thank you for your patience as we work on these repairs in order to make your visit a safer, more pleasant experience!
